Companion on CD-ROM

The Frank Lloyd Wright Companion is available on CD-ROM. There are several features that will, to many, make it more useful than the book version. First, you will find 60% of the photographs in full color. Then, the plans can be scaled to any screen size with Deneba's Canvas application. The production was realized to the exacting specifications set by William Allin Storrer, the book's author, by Prairie Multimedia, Inc., of 31 W 165 Smith Road, West Chicago IL 60185. Companion in Italian

The Frank Lloyd Wright Companion is now available in a beautiful Italian-language edition as Frank Lloyd Wright - Il Repertorio. The publisher is Zanichelli of Bologna, Italy: Email; lineauno@bo.zanichelli.it. Web page; www.zanichelli.it. Translator was Frederica Lehmann and general editor Augusto Rosari. The summer before publication I met with these two and editor Greta Ceratti to discuss final details of layout and translation [fortunately, my second language for my PhD was Italian], then enjoyed a fine Bolognese lunch celebration. The beautifully produced edition is offered in a slipcase. There are other refinements on the U of Chicago edition, but the untrained eye should notice virtually no difference other than the language, so careful has been the Zanichelli staff to match the Chicago production standard.

Companion in Chinese

Companion in Japanese

The Japanese edition of The Frank Lloyd Wright Companion is unique in having an alphabetical index done in Katakana, the system that allows English words to be written according to how they sound. Cost is about three times that of the English edition.
