If you are more interested in the continuation of organic architectue than in doting on a long-ago past, consider the Friends of Kebyar. FOK is dedicated to the work of architects who practice organic architecture, who carry on traditions started by Frank Lloyd Wright and Bruce Goff by their apprentices, students and followers. Recently the southeast chapter of FOK met in Highlands, North Carolina, to see the work of Jim Fox. I've followed Jim's work for some two decades, and wish I'd had the income to buy one of his houses when I first bought a place in Highlands. Alas! 'Twas not to be.

There were a number of presentations by attendees to the weekend conference, including slide shows of works by organic architects or works admired by the attendees. Sunday was spent touring the work of Jim Fox and Dan Duckham.

Jim Fox's work is always entertaining. I could show his houses, but you should instead obtain the Kebyar Journal issue of his work, or visit Highlands and Cashiers, North Carolina.
